Our Mission
In our commitment to excellence in education, the parents and staff of Seattle Hill are partners in placing the success of students at the center of all decisions and actions. The teaching of academic skills and respect ensure competent, responsible, lifelong learners.
Student Program
Seattle Hill emphasizes a strong academic program designed to meet the individual needs of students. This program consists of a variety of teaching/learning opportunities which include the traditional self-contained single grade level classrooms and a 4/5/6 academically capable classroom. The classrooms are supported by a librarian, music specialist, and physical education specialist. The Resource Room, LAP (Learning Assistance Program), speech and physical therapy services are available for identified students.
Parent Involvement
Seattle Hill has a very supportive group of parents. This is reflected in very high attendance at various evening programs, daytime barbecues, parent conferences, carnivals, PTO meetings, etc. A "Parent/ Teacher Organization," or PTO, is the official support group and is extremely active in supporting our school with volunteer time and money from fundraisers. Parents and community members are always welcome to visit our school. Besides our regular parent/teacher conferences, parents are welcome to set up additional conferences at any time. Our PTO meetings are once a month on Tuesdays at 6:45 p.m. in the Library.
